Nestled above the Lima River valley in northern Portugal, this restored 18th-century manor house with origins dating back to the 13th century offers a rare blend of history and exclusivity. Once the site of a defensive tower built by Martinho Fernandes Vilarinho, the estate evolved into an aristocratic residence rebuilt in the 1700s by Francisco de Araújo e Amorim. Its private chapel, founded in 1737 and dedicated to Nossa Senhora da Glória, gave the manor its historic identity.
Classified as a Monument of Public Interest, the estate has hosted diplomats, nobility, and notable figures including Lord Peter Pitt Millward, a descendant of British Prime Minister William Pitt. Following an extensive renovation in 2021–2022, the property now offers accommodation in the Meia-Lua building for private holidays, retreats, creative residencies, events, and productions — blending heritage, culture, and contemporary comfort.

Located in the lush Minho region of northern Portugal, the estate overlooks the romantic Lima River valley and enjoys serene countryside surroundings while remaining close to vibrant cultural hubs.
The coastal city of Viana do Castelo is nearby, known for its beaches, gastronomy, and the iconic Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora da Lúzia. Guests can enjoy easy access to vineyards, river activities, hiking trails, and authentic Portuguese villages — making this an ideal base to explore both countryside and coast.
